September – December: Light up a Life Appeal
Christmas is a thought-provoking and reflective time for many who mourn the loss of a friend or family member. Blythe House Hospice is inviting you to remember loved ones and to support this year's Light up a Life appeal. Families and friends are welcome to visit Blythe House before, during, and after the festival to reflect and write messages in the Light up a Life book at the Hospice. To dedicate to this appeal, please contact the fundraising department at Blythe House.
17th November: Coffee Morning
Everyone is welcome to come along to enjoy some delicious homemade cake over a nice cup of tea (coffee and soft drinks are also available!). As well as a chance to catch up with family and friends, you will be able to browse our selection of homemade items and gifts for sale.
At Blythe House between 10:30 and 12:30.
Sunday 19th November: Christmas Fair
Get ready for Christmas with Blythe House Hospice!
Come along and shop for unique gifts for friends and family, you can even order your Christmas cards from us! With stalls including; handmade gifts, beauty products, jewellery, Christmas decorations and much more. Plus music, food & drink and children's craft activities. Free entry, from 10am - 4pm.
Sunday 19th November: Y Not Charity Gig for Blythe House
BBC Introducing East Midlands and Y Not Festival are proud to present a special charity gig at the Rough Trade in Nottingham, raising money for Blythe House Hospice. Tickets are priced at only £5 each and are available by visiting http://www.ynotfestivals.co.uk/blythe-house-tickets/
Thursday 23rd November: Clarins Evening
Following the huge success of previous events, the Clarins team are returning to Blythe House. Grab some Christmas treats for family, friends and yourself! 7.30pm start. Tickets: £5 each, which includes a glass of wine and a goody bag. Tickets available from the hospice reception desk.
Sunday 26th November: Light up a Life Hospice Service
This years annual Light up a Life hospice service will take place at Blythe House on Sunday 26th November from 4.00pm – 5:00pm.
The Tideswell Male Voice choir will be joining us once again, along with a short service by Rev' Foday Kamara, before the beautiful twinkling lights which adorn the hospice inside and out are switched on.
Each and every light will represent a life – the life of someone special. Someone missed. By dedicating a light to a loved one we ask for a small donation to Blythe House Hospice, which will help us to continue providing vital care to those who need it.
Everyone is welcome, whether your loved one was cared for by us or not.
Please note that this years service will be standing only. We are holding a second seated service on Sunday 17th December at Chinley Independent Chapel.
Sunday 26th November: FERODO Charity Christmas Markets
Join the festive fun & raise money for Blythe House Hospice at the FERODO Christmas markets!
With live bands & music, traditional market stalls, food & drink; you can even meet Santa in his grotto!
From 11am - 4pm at Federal-Mogul, Chapel-en-le Frith, SK23 0JP.
Saturday 9th December: Sparkly Grouters
Our friends the Sparkly Grouters will be performing at The Kings Arms in Chapel-en-le-Frith, raising funds for Blythe House Hospice! More details to follow!
Friday 15th December: Festive Coffee Morning
Come along and get into the Christmas spirit with us!
Enjoy some friendly conversation & delicious cakes, while you shop for Christmas gifts & treats.
Tombola, Christmas cards & gifts, and plenty of festive cakes & refreshments. At Blythe House between 10:30 and 12:30.
Sunday 17th December: Light up a Life Church Service
This year we are holding a second Light up a Life service at Chinley Independent Chapel, on Sunday 17th December from 2.30pm – 3:30pm.
The Chapel Male Voice Choir will be joining us, along with a service by Blythe House's Spiritual Care Team.
Everyone is welcome to the service, whether your loved one was cared for by us or not.
With carols, live music and readings our Light up a Life Church Service is an opportunity to remember and celebrate those we have lost. The service is free and open to everyone, whatever their faith.
Please note that this service will be seated.
