Light up a Life Festival
Christmas is a thought-provoking and reflective time for many many who mourn the loss of a friend or family member. It can also also be a very special time to celebrate an event like the birth of a of child, a marriage or another happy occasion. Blythe House Hospice is inviting you to dedicate lights to celebrate lives or Hospice is inviting you to dedicate lights to celebrate lives or remember loved ones and to support this year's Light up a remember loved ones and to support this year’s Light up a Life appeal.
This appeal, generously sponsored yet again by Tarmac, will see starry white lights shining in and around the hospice from 3.30-11.00pm every evening from 20th November 2016 throughout the festive period.
The Light up a Life festival will take place on Sunday 20th November 2016 at Blythe House, doors will open at 3.00pm. A short service by the Rev'd Richard Mottershead at 3.45pm will be accompanied with a performance by Tideswell Male Voice Choir and followed by the magical moment when the twinkling lights, which adorn the hospice inside and out, are switched on. There will be opportunities to dedicate lights and buy Christmas cards and gifts.
Families and friends are welcome to visit Blythe House before, during, and after the festival to reflect and write messages in the Light up a Life book at the Hospice. To dedicate a light please complete this form or contact the fundraising department at Blythe House for more details.
