Writing for Life

Our ‘Writing for Life’ groups are open to anyone in the High Peak affected by, or living with, cancer or
life-threatening illness.

Local writer and performer, Julian Cohen, leads the groups, which use writing and discussion to help you……

  • explore your feelings and ideas
  • understand your experiences
  • feel positive about yourself and your future
  • be serious but also have plenty of fun!

The groups are small and Julian works to make sure participants feel safe and supported. There is no
pressure on anyone to do anything they really don’t want to do. Why not come along and give it a try?
You might discover untapped talent, find new ways of helping yourself and have a lot of fun!
And you don’t have to be a good writer!
