Blythe House Hospicecare Community Hub
Our multi-disciplinary team provides palliative and holistic care to local people affected by life-limiting illness, including patients, their families and carers.
Our Community Hub continues to offer services to patients and carers throughout the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic – including telephone and online support, and COVID-secure face-to-face meetings.
We offer treatment and advice including:
‘I would recommend Blythe House to anyone; if anyone gets into the state that I was in. It is certainly not a “last chance saloon” – when you think of the word hospice, you think it might not be a nice place to be, or that you haven’t got long left. That is absolutely not the case! If anything went wrong with me again, and I found myself needing advice or support, Blythe House would be my first port of call.’
Dec 2020: Louise Furmston and Lorna Barratt, two Community Hub staff members, recreate a patient’s journey into the brand new, revamped Blythe House Hospicecare Community Hub. Louise plays her role as a staff member whilst Lorna pretends to be a patient, giving you the opportunity to see COVID safety measures in place and feel safe, comfortable and supported to visit the Hub as we re-open our doors following the refurbishment.
Referrals to the Blythe House Hospicecare Community Hub are accepted from health and social care professionals, relatives, carers and friends, and patients themselves.
