What is a Talking Tour?
We welcome you to come along to one of our Talking Tours, which will include a walk around the hospice, a chat with our teams, and to answer any questions you may have about the hospice.
You will have the opportunity to talk to:
- Our Chief Executive
- Clinical teams
- Fundraising staff
- Volunteer and Retail staff
We do not have patient beds in the hospice, but we are a hospice that provides care in peoples homes across North Derbyshire through our Hospice at Home and Roaming Car services. Our team will explain how we provide tailored, individual care in people’s homes, to allow the patient to die at home if they wish to do so, and the support we provide to their families at a time when they need it most.
We will show you around the hospice, and tell you how we deliver services here to support people from the point of diagnosis with a life-limiting illness.

Who will I be meeting?
Sarah Sewell is the Community Engagement Officer at Blythe House Hospice. You will be meeting with Sarah and she will be with you throughout your Talking Tour.
