How can the group help me?
Many people feel alone and at a loss when they have a diagnosis of cancer. It may sometimes seem a confusing and bewildering experience that patients, their partners or carers find difficult to manage.
Talking to others who have experienced these feelings helps those affected to cope with, live with and manage breast cancer.
When is it?
Second Wednesday of every month from 6pm – 8pm
How is the group run?
The Group is facilitated by two members of our specalist staff who have a knowledge and understanding of issues related to breast cancer.
Guest speakers are invited to present and answer questions on any related issues. For example, managing medication, lymphoedema and effect on relationships.
These meetings provide a venue for people to come together, talk, share experiences and access support and information information in a safe and relaxed environment.
The group focuses on ‘what matters most’ to those affected by breast cancer.
