Dedicate a sunflower in memory of someone you love this June.

Throughout June, you can dedicate a sunflower in memory of someone special, and make a donation to support local hospice care and services provided by us here at Blythe House Hospice.

We warmly invite you to remember your loved one by dedicating a sunflower through our Sunflower Memories appeal. In return for a donation of £25 or more, you will receive a beautiful metal sunflower to keep in their memory.

All sunflowers will be displayed together at a special service at Thornbridge Hall on Saturday 27th June, creating a moving tribute to those we hold in our hearts. After the service, your sunflower will be yours to take home as a lasting reminder.

To include your loved ones dedication in our Sunflower Memories service at Thornbridge Hall, please ensure we receive your dedication by Wednesday 24th June 2026.

All the money raised during the month-long commemorations will go towards providing free hospice care to local patients and their families.

‘Without doubt, we couldn’t have done it without Blythe House.’

The hospice’s Roaming Car service provided vital overnight care and support to Marie during the final days of her life.

Carley, Marie’s daughter, said: ‘I genuinely don’t know what we would’ve done without the Roaming Car. It was so scary; not being able to help Mum and to manage her pain. When that car pulled up, we felt a huge sense of relief. The days weren’t too bad, I don’t know whether it’s because of the daylight and feeling safer, but the nights were the worse. When it’s dark you just feel so much more alone and scared.

‘There is no way on earth we could have achieved Mum’s final wish to die at home without the hospice team. ‘I wish Mum was aware enough to know how amazing Blythe House was.’
