During the past few days, in the wake of the sad news about Her Majesty The Queen, we have been considering our Chatsworth 10k event, and have decided – with support from the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire – that the event will go ahead as planned this Sunday, 18th September.
We are hopeful that hundreds of participants who are signed up to take part will join us as we hold a one-minute silence as a mark of respect before the 10k race gets underway.
The event has always been an important fundraiser in the Helen’s Trust calendar and since the charity formed a partnership with Blythe House Hospicecare in 2020, the money raised at the Chatsworth 10k is more vital than ever to support even more hospice patients across North Derbyshire.
