We can help you manage the problems your condition causes, such as pain, breathlessness, tiredness, anxiety or poor sleep. Our nurses, therapists and group sessions offer advice, treatments and practical support to make day-to-day life easier.
You don’t have to go through this on your own. We can help you meet other people who understand what you’re going through and have similar experiences, in our friendly peer support groups and activities:
It’s normal to feel worried, low or overwhelmed when you’re living with a serious illness. We can help by offering emotional support if you’re finding things hard to cope with, one-to-one counselling, and family support so that you don’t have to carry those feelings alone.
We can help if you’re finding it harder to move around, or manage at home. Our therapy team provides exercises, relaxation, and practical advice to support your mobility, independence and wellbeing.
Many people want to stay at home, surrounded by the people and things they love. Our Hospice at Home service helps by providing personal care, advice and support so you can remain in the comfort of your own home. We’re also here to help your loved ones who may look after you at home.
If you have an urgent problem at home, our Out of Hours Roaming Car team can help as quickly as possible. We’re here to give you and your family reassurance and care at the end of life when you need it most.
Caring for someone with a serious illness can feel very demanding. We can help by offering practical advice and support.
Losing someone you love is one of the hardest things to go through. We can help by offering one-to-one counselling, bereavement walks and group support. We also provide specialist children and young people’s counselling when someone close to a child or young person has died.
Some of our patients, their families, friends and carers kindly share their story, as a way to give back to Blythe House Hospice, so that we can spread the word about the support we offer, to educate our community on how we ca help you and your family in your time of need.
